Derby Special

Derby Special


1 1/2 oz light Rum
1/2 oz Cointreau
1 oz Orange juice
1/2 oz Lime juice

Add approx 4 oz of cracked ice to a blender.  Pour in all the ingredients and blend at medium speed until smooth.  Pour into a highball glass and serve.

Kentucky Orange Blossom

1 1/2 oz Bourbon
1/2 oz Triple Sec
1 oz Orange juice

Fill a mixing glass with ice.  Add the ingredients and shake.  Strain into a rocks glass filled with ice.  Garnish with a twist of Lemon.

Kentucky Cooler


1 1/2 oz Bourbon
1/2 oz Rum
1/4 oz Orange juice
1/4 oz Lemon juice
dash Grenadine

Fill a mixing glass with ice.  Add the ingredients and shake.  Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.

1 1/2 oz Bourbon
1/2 oz Benedictine

Fill a mixing glass with ice.  Add the ingredients and shake.  Strain into a rocks glass.  Add ice to fill.  Garnish with a twist of Lemon.

Kentucky Coffee

1 1/2 oz Kentucky Bourbon
hot Coffee

Pour the Kentucky Bourbon into a coffee mug.  Fill up with hot coffee and top with whipped cream.

Mint Julep

Mint Julep


2 oz Bourbon
6 Mint leaves
1/2 oz sugar syrup

In a collins glass, place the 6 Mint leaves and the sugar syrup.  Mash leaves with a spoon.  Add 1 oz of the Bourbon.  Fill the glass with crushed ice.  Pour over with the rest of the Bourbon.  Stir well and garnish with a Mint sprig if you like.

2 oz  Scotch
3 dashes white Creme de Menthe
Club Soda

Fill a collins glass with ice.  Add the Scotch and Creme de Menthe.  Stir and then fill with the Club Soda.  Stir gently

1 1/2 oz blended Whiskey
1/4 oz Benedictine
1/4 oz sweet Vermouth
dash Angostura Bitters

Fill a mixing glass with ice.  Add the ingredients and shake.  Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.

2 oz Bourbon
1 oz Pineapple juice

Fill a mixing glass with ice and add the ingredients.  Shake and strain into a chilled cocktail glass.  Garnish with a slice of Pineapple if you like.

1 1/2 oz Gin
1/2 oz Lemon juice
1/4 tsp white Creme de Cacao
dash of Angostura Bitters

Fill a mixing glass with ice.  Add the ingredients and shake.  Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.

Mint Julep Punch

Mint Julep Punch


4 cups water
16 tbsp chopped Mint leaves
8 tbsp sugar
juice of 4 Lemons
4 cups Club Soda
4 cups Whiskey
sprigs of fresh Mint

Bring the water to a boil and pour over the Mint in a large punch bowl. Stir in the sugar until it dissolves. Leave to cool.

Add the Lemon juice and then run the entire mixture through a strainer to remove the Mint leaves, mint debris and seeds. Once clear, add it back to the punch bowl and leave to chill in a cool place. Just before serving, pour in the Club Soda and Whiskey. Float the Mint sprigs on top before setting out.

1 1/2 oz Bourbon
1/2 oz Triple Sec
1 oz Orange juice

Fill a mixing glass with ice and add the ingredients. Shake and strain into a rocks glass filled with cubed ice. Garnish with a twist of Lemon.

1/4 oz Orange juice
1/4 oz Lemon juice
dash Grenadine

Fill a mixing glass with ice and add the ingredients. Shake and strain into a chilled cocktail glass.

Fill a mixing glass with ice and then add the ingredients. Shake well and strain into a rocks glass. Add back fresh ice and garnish with a twist of Lemon.

Hot Coffee
Whipped Cream

Pour Kentucky Bourbon into a Coffee Mug. Fill with hot Coffee and top with whipped cream.

Frozen Mint Julep

Frozen Mint Julep


2 oz Bourbon
1 oz Lemon juice
1 oz sugar syrup
5 or 6 small fresh Mint leaves

Muddle together all the ingredients in a glass. After muddling, pour the mixture into a blender and add 6 oz of crushed ice. Blend at high speed for 15 or 20 seconds. Pour into a chilled highball glass and garnish with a Mint sprig.

Mint Julep

Mint Juleps


1/2 Cup of Water
4 Tbsp chopped Mint leaves
2 Tbsp Sugar
Juice of one Lemon
1 Cup Club Soda
1/2 cup of Whiskey
Mint sprigs
- makes 9 oz-


Bring the water to a boil and pour over the Mint leaves. Stir in the Sugar until it dissolves. Allow to cool before adding the Lemon Juice. Strain the Mint leaves out. Add the Whiskey and Club Soda just before serving. Decorate each glass with a Mint sprigs
