Hot Spiced Punch

Hot Spiced Punch


1 bottle of dry Red Wine
Thinly pared peel of one Orange
6 Cloves & 1 Cinnamon Stick
3 Crushed Cardamom Pods
3 Crushed Coriander Seeds
1 Tbsp bruised Ginger Root
1/3 cup of seedless Raisins

Put all the ingredients, except the raisins into a large bowl. Leave this way for about 8 hours. Strain out the liquid and add the raisins to it. Heat this in a pot until just boiling (when the bubbles begin to rise from the bottom of the pan) but do not allow it to reach a full boil. Serve hot in glass or ceramic glasses or mugs.
