A Yard of Flannel



1 quart Ale
4 oz gold Rum
3 oz superfine granulated Sugar
4 Eggs
1/2 tsp grated Nutmeg
1/2 tsp ground Cinnamon

Warm the Ale (be careful not to boil it) in a large saucepan over low heat.  In a separate bowl, combine the other ingredients and beat well.  Pour the beaten mixture into a heat resistant pitcher (glass is best).  Add the  Ale slowly, stirring constantly.  Stir firmly until the mix is creamy.  Pour into heated mugs.
